Mark Chambers
FI(A), Responsible Representative, Director
Mark grew up as a self-described ‘hangar rat’ around the local airfields in Mourne, regularly trying to hitch a ride in locals’ aircraft, eventually being taught to fly a Luscombe by the local legend Archie Alderdice. He later completed his commercial training in New Zealand and securing an Airbus A320 job now based in Dublin. Mark began instructing after receiving top class Flight Instructor training from British Aerobatic Academy and not much later became the UK’s youngest LAA Coach. He was also recognised as Belfast Telegraph’s “30 under 30” for his contribution to aviation.

Gary Ferguson
FE(A), FI(A), GR(A), Head of Training
Originally from New Zealand, Gary started his PPL training in the UK but quickly decided to take matters out of the hands of our local weather and completed his training under the permanent Florida Sun. After obtaining his commercial licence, he added a Flight Instructor certificate to his box of tricks and has been relentless since for a supposedly flightless Kiwi! Gary is a master at finding himself opportunities to try quirky aircraft and in 2020 he became a Flight Examiner – we think he’s on the hunt for more funky machines …

Stefan Wagner
FI(A), GR(A), Safety Representative
Stefan grew up in Austria and moved to the island in 2008. Originally a Social Worker, he fulfilled his lifelong dream by stepping into aviation by training for his PPL(A) in Weston, Dublin, before the longest-ever hour building stretch, and continued his commercial training near Budapest. Discovering his passion for teaching along his journey, he decided to add an instructor certificate at the end of his commercial training and has been training PPL Students ever since. As much as he loves flying, it’s hard work keeping him out of a classroom and stacks of old meteorology books …

Matt McClune
TKI, CPL(H)
Matt started flying at a young age and has possibly spent as much time hanging out in a maintenance environment as in the air. He got his PPL(A) as soon as the opportunity arose and always had a firm grip on the theoretical aspect of aviation. Having been well fixed with his wings until then, Matt was accepted for a funded training programme with Bristow where he went from minimum forward speed to commercial stopping in mid air in no time. His current commute from Northern Ireland to the Falkland Islands is a bit of a trek but he does come back with experience and some stories!
